Asmita, based in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, India) provides education, rehabilitation and vocational training for children with special needs. Customized training modules are designed for the children according to their physical and mental abilities. The purpose of the training provides basic education to these kids, teaches them skilled trade, to make them independent and empower them. Some of the skills taught are candle making, paper cutting, envelope making and incense stick making.
