Hey Everyone!
My name is Meghna Sundaram and I am a Freshman at Northwestern looking forward to running my first marathon. I wanted to share why I decided to run and it’s for a cause that has been significant in my family’s life – Asha for Education.
For years, my family has supported Asha’s mission of education for all. My parents have ingrained a strong sense of charity in both me and my sister and as part of our annual birthday tradition, we visit Asha’s Chennai location to donate items and spend time with the students. We believe in the importance of education, and Asha has been working towards that. It’s not just about textbooks and classrooms, it is about making a larger difference in communities.
Growing up in India, I have seen firsthand how much education can transform a community and Asha plays an integral part in providing it. Additionally, my grandfather has taught for Asha over the last five years and his commitment has inspired me to contribute to Asha’s cause and continue his work
My pledge is to raise funds for Asha’s mission and support their mission. My marathon journey is not just a personal challenge but an opportunity to contribute to something meaningful.
