Hello everyone!
My name is Vaishnavi Naidu, and I am so excited to run the 2024 Chicago Marathon on behalf of Asha for education. Running a marathon has always been a big goal of mine. I ran my first half-marathon in Champaign, and I loved it. Running the half-marathon made me want to push myself to do more and complete a full marathon. I know this will be very challenging mentally and physically. However, this challenge is nothing compared to the many obstacles children in underprivileged communities in India face for an opportunity for a good education.
I firmly believe that education is a fundamental human right and gives children the knowledge and wisdom to change the world. Growing up, my family always stressed the importance of a good education and using education to help others succeed and give back to those in need. Asha’s mission to provide education to underprivileged children in India inspires me, and I hope you will help me reach my goal of raising $1500. This money will go directly to educational resources for children in India. No donation is too small. Thank you!
