I been running for many years but didn’t know how should I increase or decrease my mileage or what kind of stretches and strengthening exercises are required for a good long run, but since I joined Team Asha East Bay in 2014 my running philosophy has completely changed. Now I know how to do proper stretches, strengthening exercises and what mileage to run on what days. I have run many half marathons and completed 4 full marathons with Team Asha which I never thought I will be able to do ever.
My biggest reason to join Team Asha is to help underprivileged kids in India, when I run on trails, roads or any half or full marathons I always feel that the strength of those kids is always with me which pushes me further and motivates me to go that extra mile. Now I feel team Asha is my family and without it, I can’t move forward, by joining Team Asha I got an amazing group of friends, who I call a family now and helping those underprivileged kids in India and on top keeping myself in good health, what else I can expect?
I am looking forward to an amazing 2019 and would like to again raise funds for those underprivileged kids who need our help and who motivates all of us in some way or another. No kid on this planet should be deprived of good food and proper education. Education is the key and I pledge to raise funds for this cause and will help these kids in India.
