I’m Navin Kumar Agarwal, and I’m here with a mix of excitement and purpose. My running adventure kicked off three years ago, taking me through four marathons, including NYC twice, Paris, and Jersey City.
Now, as I stand on the brink of a fresh challenge – the Chicago Marathon – I’ve found a cause that truly resonates with me. I’ve teamed up with “Asha for Education,” a non-profit run entirely by volunteers, working to spark socio-economic change in India through the education of underprivileged children. What makes Asha stand out is their commitment to keeping things lean, ensuring every dollar donated directly benefits the cause.
Education holds a special place in my heart, and I believe in its power to create lasting change. That’s why I’ve chosen to weave my marathon journey with supporting Asha’s noble cause. Here’s my take: While I’ve tried the marathon lottery for three years, I see a more profound purpose in this journey. Running for a cause as significant as education for underprivileged children feels like a calling. It’s a chance to contribute beyond personal achievements and create a positive impact on a broader scale.
I’m not asking for personal wishlist fulfillment or for a single wealthy friend to carry the load. Instead, I’m inviting you to be part of a collective effort.
